Fark has some of the funniest photos of all times courtesy of an ingenious PhotoShop contest or four every day.
I’ve only seen the last few hundred contests, but it’s absolutely amazing what someone creative with the right background can do to a photo in a few minutes using the newest batch of digital image editing tools. Fark is full of other cool links, and some that are banal and trite to say the least. The random wacky factor is what keeps me coming back.
You never know what you will find at Fark. From Bush bashers to fascinating news stories showcasing the last 2 decades of scientific research into lesbian vegetables, Fark has the links. A lot of the links lead to irreverent pokes at society. Some lead to porn. The best ones lead to hidden nuggets of useless knowledge that have value only because they make me smile for a minute or two. Fark is a good place to go if you want to get lost for a while, walking down paths to places you might not have imagined before.
Banality is part of our existence but Fark makes banality fun. Sometimes, while I’m surfing Fark, I feel like a kid again for a minute or two.
