Eason Jordan resigns

“I have decided to resign in an effort to prevent CNN from being unfairly tarnished by the controversy over conflicting accounts of my recent remarks regarding the alarming number of journalists killed in Iraq. I have devoted my professional life to helping make CNN the most trusted and respected news outlet in the world, and I would never do anything to compromise my work or that of the thousands of talented people it is my honor to work alongside.”

– Eason Jordan LINK-ABC News

Well, the proof is in the pudding, as they say.

Eason Jordan has resigned.

He did it because he is guilty as charged. At least that is the way I read this situation. A man who hasn’t done anything wrong doesn’t resign. A man who has something to hide does. Simple logic.

I know, I know. U.S. soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines are plotting to kill Eason Jordan. He is resigning to protect his family and friends, many of whom have been targeted for potential elimination. Yeah, that’s it. Eason is just another victim of the military plan to assassinate unfriendly reporters.

To all those whining that Eason is the victim of a blynchmog (blog lynch mob), shaddup. He could have had the cajones to stick around for the release of the tape and take his medicine. That’s what they teach you to do in basic training. You don’t turn tale and run when the bullets start flying, you make a stand. Unless of course, you don’t believe in what you’re fighting for.

All the lemon faces on the left are typical. As a libertarian, I hate a prurient, hypocritical and self-righteous right-wingers just as much as you lefties. But stop defending the indefensible. If Eason Jordan had any inkling of hope that he was right, or that he could at least spin things so he wasn’t wrong on this issue, he wouldn’t be resigning. He’s not protecting anyone but himself by doing so. It’s obvious to all but the retarded that Eason has a huge case of foot in mouth and just wants the spotlight to move off him and onto the next scandal.

All this talk of blog thuggery and unfair tarnishing is self-pitying bunk. Yeah, I’m talking to you, Jude Nagurny Camwell. Tell you what Mr. Camwell, if the tape of Eason’s comments is released, and he says the U.S. military is assassinating journalists, and then it is proved that they actually are assassinating journalists, I’ll renounce my U.S. citizenship, which I only just recently gained.
