I’ve been a University of Phoenix student for more than two years now and I’m finally getting to the meat of the degree I’m working on – Bachelor of Science in Information Technology.
It’s taken me this long to get past most of the classes I really didn’t need to benefit professionaly from the degree.
Among the topics and objectives I’m looking forward to covering:
INTRODUCTION TO HTML
• Explain the HTML needed to create a basic Web page.
• Explain HTML formatting.
• Explain the viewing and testing of Web page script.
WEB PAGE DESIGN
• Explain color and backgrounds in Web pages.
• Explain HTML tables.
• Explain HTML frames.
• Use Microsoft Word to create Web pages.
• Design Web pages.
WEB PAGE FORMS
• Create Web page forms.
• Analyze Web page design.
INTRODUCTION TO JAVASCRIPT
• Explain the basics of JavaScript.
JAVASCRIPT CODE
• Explain JavaScript arrays, loops, and conditional statements.
I already have some experience in these areas, but I think reinforcing and expanding on what I know will make me very fulfilled. Hopefully I’ll also get a good team this time around. That has been the flakiest part of the on-line college experience for me. It’s much harder to coordinate and make sure everyone is pulling a fair share of work when you can’t look them in the eye.
